Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:00a- Until work is complete

Compensation: $20/hr

Position Summary: The Receiver is responsible for unloading trucks, trailers and/or containers of product (e.g. bags of dog/cat food, cases of cans, litter), as well as checking in product, breaking product down, and performing "put away" functions as necessary.

Essential Functions:
  • Read work orders and receive verbal instructions for work assignments including: reviewing paperwork, verifying items, locations, quantities, and printing documents and tags ensuring accuracy
  • Remove load straps/load bars and place loading dock plate in truck
  • Transport, restock, offload, and replenish products from trucks and/or staging areas onto the assigned warehousing racks and storage area locations, including freezer, using material handling equipment (ride-on electric pallet jack, forklift, reach truck) and manual methods
  • Utilize warehouse management system Infor and/or RF scanner gun to ensure proper allocation of product checking for discrepancies
Supporting Duties:
  • Return final paperwork to management and notify of damaged product(s) and remove or label accordingly
  • Assist with replenishment and "put away" duties
  • Receive and perform cleaning/leveling assignments and maintain clean and organized work area
  • Perform functions, accountabilities and supporting activities while complying with safety procedures, rules and regulations
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  • MUST have experience using a High Reach
  • Candidate must have ability to read, write and understand English, including identifying numbers
  • Time management and independent problem solving skills
  • Requires high degree of attention, skill, and dexterity in the safe control of warehouse equipment and stacking of product on the pallet
  • Must be able to meet specific goals for efficiency and accuracy
  • Candidate must have reliable transportation, flexible schedule, solid attendance and a positive, professional attitude
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
