Responds to work requests timely and professionally and is able to complete work assignments pertaining to general behaviors listed below. Job Requirements Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred: Trade School in the mechanical fields Experience Required: 1-2 related maintenance/mechanical experience Skills Basic knowledge to read and interpret blueprints and schematics for repairs to building equipment and structure. Basic knowledge of the safe operation of all tools used in the performance of duties. Basic knowledge of regulatory requirements governing fire alarm systems, HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, life safety systems and building repairs. Demonstrates basic technical skills in the preparation, application, installation, and replacement process in relevant areas, which could include, but are not limited to: Painting Wallcovering Ceiling tile Floor covering and substrate Millwork adjustments and hardware Doors, frames, and door hardware Plumbing and fixtures Electrical wiring, devices, lighting and motors Heating, steam, ventilation and air conditioning Medical gas and vacuum Refrigeration units and ice machines Air compressors and refrigerated air dryers Air handlers fans and heat wheels Chilled water and condenser pumps Hospital bed and patient equipment Food service equipment and housekeeping appliances Mirrors, pictures, documents and decorative items Furniture repair and refinish Batteries Operation of fork-lift Licensure/Certification/Registration Required: Active Driver's License AND STI Fire Stop Certified within 1 year of hire (provided by Cox yearly if not already certified) Preferred: Some form of MEP Certification from an accredited trade school. Such as Vatterott College and Ozarks Technical Community College Preferred: Refrigeration Certification, Welding of any kind
