**Description**

Stanley Consultants is seeking an Engineer-In-Training for our Denver office. This position works with senior engineers on a comprehensive range of transportation corridor planning, traffic analysis, drainage and highway design projects. Experience will be gained on local and national projects from local intersection or trail projects to major interstate design build projects as well as transportation planning studies.

**Essential duties include:**

* Assist with highway design and construction plans production

* Learn analysis in drainage design, traffic and highway geometric engineering.

* Assist with preparing transportation planning studies, traffic and safety studies

**Background requirements include:**

* Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering; Transportation emphasis is preferred

* Engineer Intern (EI) license is required

* 0-2 years of relevant experience

* Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

* Knowledge of design standards

* Transportation engineering experience and familiarity with county, local government, and state transportation guidelines, policies and procedures is a plus

* Knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD and the preparation of roadway construction plans, signing, pavement marking, construction sequencing, roadway paving, and traffic plans are a plus, but not required

* Strong oral communication and technical writing skills

* Able to work in a team environment.

* Proactive work habits

* Desire to pursue a transportation engineering career

* Familiarity/experience with transportation engineering including geometric design and drainage

* Strong verbal communication skills and technical writing skills

**Salary Range:** Base Compensation: $60,000 - $68,000

*In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location.*
