Business Analyst
Job Details
Job Responsibilities:
Drive awareness of requirements across business units and identify substandard systems processes through evaluation of real-time data
Serve as thought leader for technical business processes, developing systems prototypes that promote increased efficiency and productivity on multiple levels
Create and implement precise management plans for every project, with attention to transparent communication at all levels
Perform, evaluate, and communicate thorough quality assurance at every stage of systems development
Determine and develop user requirements for systems in production, to ensure maximum usability
Drive productivity with the engineering team
Drive the team to deliver on features prioritized by the product owner
Conduct all agile ceremonies to facilitate productive output (sprint planning, retrospective, DSM, etc)
Ensure sprints are properly scoped and estimated;
Be responsible for making sure team delivers what its committed to in each sprint; accountability
Be responsible for individual and team performance measurement; measuring productivity and utilization over time including velocity, burndown, etc;
Use Jira to its fullest to provide dashboarding, statusing, and reporting around these critical KPIs
Minimum Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis or a related field.
In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology
Ability to prioritize effectively
Excellent verbal and written communication
Ability to work within a distributed team
The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
A track record of following through on commitments.
Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
Experience leading and developing top-performing teams.
Working knowledge of product development architecture
Ability to prioritize effectively
Excellent verbal and written communication
Ability to work within a distributed team
