Position located in Rochester, MN
Responsibilities of the Research Associate-Cell Biology and Immunology:
- This is an entry level position which requires execution of experiments under supervision, with an opportunity to grow as an independent scientist.
- Maintain mammalian cell lines in culture and isolate primary cells from whole blood and other tissues.
- Perform transfection and infection of cell culture with different viral and non-viral vectors.
- Perform ELISA and cell-based assays.
- Perform basic cloning, plasmid, RNA and gDNA isolation.
- Collaborate with other team members to advance cross-functional scientific projects and standardize adoption of new scientific techniques.
- Following an onboarding period, the candidate will perform experimental research under supervision and in close collaboration with the rest of the scientific team.
Requirements of the Research Associate-Cell Biology and Immunology:
- Minimum Bachelor s degree in Molecular/Cellular Biology, Virology, Biochemistry or related field.
- Proof of laboratory experience.
- Must have experience with eukaryotic cell culture and basic molecular biology techniques.
- Ability to work and learn in an efficient manner.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and organization.
