Ideal candidates will have a background installing and supporting various systems including CCTV, IP cameras, alarm sensors, and access control. This is a fulltime, direct hire role, fully onsite at our Canton, MA location.

Job Details
We are seeking a Security Systems Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our firm's physical assets and play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and maintaining security systems to protect our infrastructure, information, and personnel.
Is your background a match?
* 3+ years of experience in a security systems specialist role
* Massachusetts Class D Electrical License (or ability to obtain it)
* High School diploma/ GED; Associates degree in electronics, preferred
* Strong knowledge of security systems, including access control, surveillance, and alarm systems
* Understanding of network components and workstation and server operating system management, IP addressing and subnetting, IP video network transmission; basic switch, router, and firewall principles
* Able to work in a variety of environments in and around mechanical equipment, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment, working in ducts, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; differentiate types/colors of wire, carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted
* Possess a valid driver's license with limited violations
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical team members
* Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to security
What will you be doing?
* Overall installation, programming, start-up, and commissioning of integrated security systems(CCTV, IP cameras, alarm sensors, access control devices, and software platforms
* Provide on-the-job training to less experienced technicians
* Participate in Operational Testing, Verification, and Acceptance
* Run routine reports to review system operation
* Participate in final inspection and testing
* Assist with customer training on system operations
* Evaluate the effectiveness of existing security systems and make recommendations for improvements, as needed
* Conduct regular security audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards
* Provide technical support for security-related issues and incidents
* Participate in the development of security policies and procedures
