Our client is an organization in the Appleton area looking for a Controller. This company is looking for someone with 8+ years of professional accounting experience, 4+ years of supervisory experience, and technology proficient. This company offers an innovative work environment, collaborative culture, and competitive benefits. This position is onsite.


The salary range for this job is $125k – $180k.


The Controller will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee all aspects of company's financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
  • Follow established internal controls and accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting principles, applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, and Company policies and practices.
  • Respond effectively to sensitive and confidential inquiries, and exercise individual initiative and discretion in confidential matters.
  • Manage and maintain the system of financial records management in accordance with established Company procedures and practices.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, year end audits, and analyze results to provide insights.
  • Lead the annual budgeting processing, working with department leads.
  • Prepare financial forecasts and update them regularly.
  • Manage and mentor the accounting and finance team, providing guidance and support for professional development.
  • Perform special project research, analysis, and reports as assigned.


The Controller will possess the following:


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • 8+ years of professional experience with a minimum of 4+ years of supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education & experience.
  • NetSuite experience preferred.
  • Background in fully-cycle financial accounting systems and software, practices, and methods.
  • Strong knowledge of state and local policies, laws, principles, and regulations.
  • Thorough knowledge of Oracle NetSuite strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of other enterprise-class ERP/MRP systems.
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office Suite programs, including but not limited to Excel analysis, pivot table, and graphics tools.
