Talascend is seeking a Structural Designer for a long-term contract opportunity with our client in Tonawanda, NY.
OVERVIEW:
This role involves supporting industrial design projects at a client site in the Buffalo, NY area. Local candidates or those willing to relocate on their own accord are encouraged to apply, as this is not a remote position.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides support to the engineering team in the layout, arrangement, and details of structures and foundations.
- Prepares CAD drawings for structures and foundations made of concrete, steel, or engineered products.
- May be required to visit project sites to gather design information.
- Works closely with and learns from seasoned engineers familiar with project protocol.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: - Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
- Associate's Degree or technical education from High School.
- Proficiency in CAD software and design principles for structural projects.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and other stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work on-site and relocate if necessary.
