Job Details
Provides direct care delivery for direct observations of one-to-one patients for maintaining safety standards as per policy. Documents /records on the observation flow sheet every 15 minutes the behavior and the communication (verbal or non-verbal) of the patient. Maintains constant observation of 1:1 patient care at all times including securing of relief for incoming nursing personnel (at the change of shift), and relief for breaks and meals. Receives endorsement/report from off going assigned PC about the current status of the patient. Maintains patient safety standards at all times. Reads and signs a copy of the 1:1 Protocol Staff Assignment Sheet. Assists patients and participates in group activities that promote patients social, leisure time skills and activities of daily living (ADL). Observes the activities of patients and reports behaviors to the Registered Nurse (RN/ AHN).
