Job Summary
We seek a Maintenance Technician oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of assigned properties. The Maintenance Technician is a key member of the CCH team and helps keep our properties, focused on serving senior citizens, running smoothly. You ensure upkeep and safety of the property, and will jump in and work alongside the team. Work involves indoor and outdoor environments and flexibility to adapt to unplanned events, while remaining resourceful and efficient.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead maintenance team in regards to performance, job duties, and scheduling.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair various issues including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, sheet rock, etc.
  • Provide excellent customer service while working with residents.
  • Monitor and replenish maintenance inventory based on property needs, while staying within budget
  • Complete on-going property and unit inspections as needed, in addition to documenting updates and areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate with various vendors as needed in regards to outsourced work at the property
  • Works in coordination with central Facilities Operational Leads to ensure that maintenance teams deliver Safe, Appropriate and Sanitary Housing to all our residents.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years as a Maintenance Tech
  • Working Knowledge of Yardi Software
  • CCH conducts background checks on all candidates who have received a conditional job offer. Satisfactory completion of background check is a requirement of employment with CCH.
  • A valid driver license, reliable personal vehicle, personal auto insurance as required by law, and an MVR sufficient to obtain and reasonably maintain insurability under agency auto liability policies are essential job requirements.
  • Prior experience in apartment maintenance, affordable housing UPCS/REAC Inspections and resident occupied project renovations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communications, listening, presentation, group facilitation, influencing and negotiations.
  • Effective use of mediation and conflict resolution techniques and processes for influencing performance management; Ability to resolve problems, handle conflict and make effective decisions under pressure.
  • Proficient with YARDI, Microsoft Office 365 platform and ability to quickly learn the organization's other systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to serve with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and consistently meet project deadlines.

Reporting + Organizational Relationships
This position will report directly to the Community Manager.

Compensation & Classification
CCH is committed to paying competitive wages. The salary range for this position is $20.96 - $26.62 / hourly. CCH has a competitive benefits package with health, dental, vision, and life insurance, 8% of an employer contribution for retirement, and more. This is a part-time, non-exempt position. This position is based at Syringa Plaza located at 626 Elba Ave. Burley, ID 83318.
