Are you looking for an excellent career that offers training and growth? Nesco Resource has the role for you! We are seeking Packers/Paint Production Workers for a Metal Extrusion client in the Garden City and Livonia, MI area.
Schedule: 3:00 pm to 1 am, Monday through Friday with occasional OT 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm Saturdays
Pay Rate:16/hr
Job Duties
- Review the quality of extrusion products (i.e.: length, surface, dents, defects, etc.) reporting any discrepancies.
- Bundle products following packing instructions from the work order.
- Review, verify, and sign the completion of the work order
- Various plant floor housekeeping, as needed
- Clean work area at end of shift
- Perform any other assignments given
On-Site Training - Packing and Scrap Codes
- Packing Methods and Practices
- Wood Saw Operations & Safety
- Counting Methods
- Proper lifting Techniques
- Various Measuring tools (i.e: square, tape measure, etc.)
- Cleaning debris from products
- Basic housekeeping(i.e.: sweeping, wiping common work areas, trash removal, etc.)
- Use of proper PPE (i.e.: safety glasses, steel toe, ear plugs, gloves, etc.).
- Proper hand tool operation and use of safety equipment
Requirements - High school diploma, or equivalent
- Previous Manufacturing experience, required
- Ability to read and write in English fluently with proficiency
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Ability to perform various physical tasks including extensive standing, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting for the duration of the shift
- Lifting 50 to 75 pounds with assistance, continuously
- Ability to work in varying extreme temperatures (hot or cold)
