Job Summary: The Valet delivers world-class customer service that provides a superior experience for our patients, guests, visitors, physicians and employees. Greets each patient, visitor or guest as they arrive and welcomes them to the facility with genuine enthusiasm and professionalism. Ensures that all customers feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times. Contributes to the mission and vision by creating a positive, productive working environment. Always smiles and maintains direct eye contact. Ascertains the customer's needs and answers any questions in a professional and courteous manner. Opens car doors, offers a hand of assistance for those customers who need help, explains valet services, gives directions, and provides escort, if needed. Safely parks vehicles in a designated valet parking spot. Safely retrieves customer vehicles in a timely manner. Collects and stores appropriate funds. Must have an excellent personal presentation, maintaining a professional appearance and personal grooming. Must have good listening skills to understand exactly what the customer requires. Must be outgoing and personable. Provides superior customer service while representing LLUMC and it's affiliated entities. These services may be provided for both the LLUMC and LLUCH hospitals. Performs other duties as needed.

Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED required preferred Minimum one year of experience preferred.

Knowledge and Skills: Able to read, write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.

Licensures and Certifications: Valid Driver's License required at time of hire.
