As an Intake Support Associate you will work with a team of staff to help create a safe, and healing welcome center environment for woman and children in a Christian residential program. This position is part of a 24-hour team to provide information, referral and support services to WCM guests.

Due to the sensitive nature of these essential job duties we are only able to consider females for this position.

Responsibilities

Help maintain a positive, pleasant and Christian atmosphere at the WCM while participating in its grace-based ministry.
Uphold the guidelines of WCM, confronting guests and leading them to self-discoveries when necessary.
Daily communicate with other staff via email.
Interact with guests entering quarantine on a daily basis, responding to their needs in accordance with quarantine best practices and the Missions grace-based philosophy.
Coordinate all aspects of the intake process including inquiry calls, outreach, partnerships with outside agencies, phone screens and intakes.
Administer observed urine collections for drug screening of guests. (Due to the sensitive nature of these essential job duties we are only able to consider females for this position)
Determine applicant eligibility for the program as mandated by Federal and City regulations.
Assess applicant ability to live independently and evaluate special needs in areas such as health care, mental health, and addiction.
Responsible for admission decisions in coordination with Guest Support Administrator
Identify inefficient/ineffective processes and implement improvements.
Maintain Bed List with daily updates.
Complete data entry and documents as assigned by your Supervisor.
Perform janitorial and maintenance duties as needed.
Monitor incoming persons, assisting and directing visitors and guests.
Handle office telephones, recording and organizing messages.
Must be certified as a Mission Certified driver, will have multiple duties involving driving mission vehicles.
Assist with administrative tasks.
Attend and participate in all Mission, Division and Department meetings and trainings, as required.
Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor and WCM Leadership.
Qualifications
High school diploma required. Microsoft Office Skills required. AA in Human Services preferred.
1+ year of prior experience in related field required. Work experience in rescue mission context highly preferred.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk or sit for extended periods of time; bend, stoop or reach. Occasionally will stand, balance, twist, stoop, kneel and reach with hands/arms. Regularly lifts up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
