Job Title: Solar Project Manager

Location: Denver Metro Area, Colorado

Salary: $100,000-$140,000 / year (DOE)


Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Solar Project Manager to join our team in the Denver area. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing solar projects, specifically within commercial and industrial sectors. This role requires end-to-end project oversight, from initial planning and design through to implementation and commissioning. The ability to travel throughout Colorado is essential for this position - roughly 15-30% of the time.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all phases of solar projects from conception to completion.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resources allocation.
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to gather data and ensure feasibility of proposed solar installations.
  • Oversee procurement of materials and equipment necessary for project execution.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and safety standards.
  • Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders and management.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in solar project management, with a focus on commercial and industrial projects.
  • Strong understanding of solar photovoltaic systems and related technologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously (essential and ability to prove this experience).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively within Colorado as projects require.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications related to project management (PMP, CAPM, etc.).
  • Experience with renewable energy incentives, rebates, and permitting processes in Colorado.
  • Familiarity with local utility requirements and interconnection processes.
  • Experience with energy modeling and financial analysis tools.
