Production Manager


Job Details

As a Production Manager, you will be tasked with overseeing the daily operations of a production team to ensure high-quality and efficient output. Your responsibilities will include managing the production process, supervising a team, monitoring productivity, and ensuring compliance with safety guidelines. Your primary objective will be to meet production targets, maintain product quality, and enhance operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

- Manage and guide production staff, including scheduling, task assignment, performance management, operators, line supervisors, trainers, and leads.

- Foster a positive work environment, motivate team members, and encourage teamwork and collaboration.

- Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching and development for the team.


Production Coordination:

- Plan and organize production schedules to meet customer demand and optimize resource allocation.

- Monitor production processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to ensure smooth operations and efficient resource use.

- Collaborate with logistics, maintenance, and quality control departments to coordinate workflow and resolve production-related issues.


Quality Control:

- Maintain and enforce quality standards and procedures throughout the production process.

- Conduct regular inspections to ensure products meet specifications and customer requirements.

- Investigate and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive measures as needed.


Safety and Compliance:

- Promote a safe working environment by enforcing safety regulations and providing training on safe work practices.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.

- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections, addressing any identified safety concerns promptly.


Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

- Monitor production output, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and report on production metrics.

- Analyze data and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency.

- Prepare regular reports on production activities, including progress, issues, and recommendations for improvement.


Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.

- Proven experience as a production supervisor in the Medical Device industry.

- Strong leadership skills and experience managing large teams.

- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

- Solid understanding of production processes, quality control, and safety standards.

- Proficiency in using production management software and tools.

- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and other departments.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

- Fluency in Spanish is mandatory.

- Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills.

- Knowledge of KPIs, Lean Six Sigma, and OEE.
