Beer Capitol Distributing in Sussex, WI is now hiring for **1st Shift Warehouse Associates**. As a 1st Shift Warehouse employee you are primarily responsible for the re-stocking of the picking rows, unloading of trucks, and organization of back stock .
Compensation
$16.00/hour
Schedule
Our 1st shift warehouse employees start at 6:00am and work Monday through Friday. They average 40-50 hours per week with time and a half for hours worked over 40.
Responsibilities
Stock and fill various products throughout the warehouse using correct freshness dating.
Unloads and receives trucks and puts merchandise away in appropriate locations using correct freshness dating.
Receive and ship products, equipment, merchandise and supplies.
Safely and quickly stack 20 to 45 pound cases on pallets up to 6 feet high occasionally.
Loads/Unloads and Checks In/Out route delivery trucks.
Checks and verifies all pre-billed orders for accuracy.
Follows order checking procedure, corrects Mis-Pick Orders, and logs all mistakes on Loader Mistake Log.
Fills out daily work log.
Fills out and turns in breakage reports promptly to Warehouse Manager/Shift Lead and Inventory.
Operates company equipment safely and according to company guidelines
Use and maintain the Beer Capitol equipment, vehicles, and Beer Capitol building in a neat and orderly condition.
Adheres to supplier and company quality and freshness standards in inventory and loading practices.
Always safeguard company property under your control by following all security procedures
Promptly prepares all required reports.
Reports for work every day on time and groomed appropriately dressed with steel-toed shoes as required by company policy.
Follows all equipment /maintenance guidelines and reports all equipment service problems immediately.
Follow all safety and security procedures.
Follow all other company policies not specifically outlined in this job description at all times.
All other duties as assigned by the company.
Skills and Abilities
* Experience with forklifts and/or pallet jacks is preferred but not required
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Ability to work with minimal supervision; self-motivated
* Strong attention to detail and problem solving
Physical Requirements
* Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 40 pounds on a consistent basis and up to 175 pounds on an occasional basis
