**Description**

**Position Overview:**

The Hardware/Assembly Technician is responsible for safely, productively, and skillfully creating beautiful metal fabricated parts to print using various assembly equipment. Assemble metal fabricated parts to customer print specifications using allotted standard times and processes.

This position is Monday Friday, 6 am -- 2pm

**Specific duties include:**

* Determine product requirements, including scope, assembly sequences, and required methods and materials, according to blueprints, drawings, and written or verbal instructions

* Fasten rivets, metal drive clips, or bonds to assemble components into products or to repair sheet metal items

* Inspect individual parts, assemblies, and installations for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as calipers, scales, and micrometers

* Drill and punch holes in metal, for screws, bolts, and rivets

* Review electronic or written blueprints or specifications for a job

* Select tools and materials for the job

* Install hardware, perform drilling, and tapping while maintaining quality of product and consistency

* Organize and maintain cleanliness of areas including storage areas

* Follow procedures and processes including signing off on required paperwork

**Minimum Qualifications:**

* Ability to understand and analyze technical drawings, specifications, and notes

* Experience deburring, installing hardware, drilling, and tapping.

* Must be familiar with different types of hardware and installation methods and specifications

* Good communications skills.

* Ability to follow verbal directions.

* Must be able to inspect work with precision measurement tools

**Education Requirements:**

* Prefer 3+ years in applicable experience

* Prefer High School Education or equivalent
