We are currently looking for a Facilities Technician (Mechanical/ HVAC) working directly in our Madison Heights lab. This role will be maintaining and repairing various mechanical systems and HVAC systems including laboratory control systems, environmental chambers (cascade and single stage systems). Experience in general plumbing, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems required. Applus+ Reliable Analysis (Applus+ RA) is expanding the testing laboratory providing testing and engineering services to the manufacturers and key suppliers in the transportation, automotive, defense and industrial sectors.
As a key team member within the operations team, the position includes working with legacy systems and new technology as the growth of the company continues.
Job description
Responsible to trouble shoot and repair mechanical and HVAC systems and controls
Maintain and repair various HVAC systems, cascade refrigeration systems, environmental chambers, air compressors, hydraulic power supplies and water towers.
Maintain HVAC and critical item inventory for reduced equipment/systems down time
Maintain preventive and maintenance schedules
Work with outside vendors for Install new systems and equipment as the company expands
- Maintains a clean, organized and safe work area.
Ensure compliance with Applus Reliable Analysis safety protocol.
