**E****ssential Duties and Responsibilities** * Provide early MEP system analysis to support innovative sales and presentation strategies.
* Participate in sales presentations.
* Lead KAs MEP system design assist role.
* Provide early MEP system input to evaluate MEP system alternatives, including life cycle analysis to guide project teams to appropriate MEP system solutions.
* Provide detailed MEP system cost estimates.
* Provide jobsite review of MEP system installation as may be required for quality, progress, pre-punch-listing, equipment start up, commissioning planning and support.
* Assist with existing facility assessment, repair and maintenance recommendations.
* Provide review of MEP subcontractor bids and price proposals.
* Assist in the development of MEP subcontractor Request for Proposals (RFP).
* Maintain positive relationship with local and national MEP equipment and technology vendors, subcontractors, and engineers of record.
* Maintain high level of competency and knowledge of MEP system innovation, trends, applications and leading edge technologies.
* Attend conferences, seminars and workshops for MEP systems and participate with local MEP engineering groups.
* Present MEP system overviews, cost options and lessons learned at various Kraus-Anderson University (KAU) training opportunities.
* Identify trends and KA business opportunities relating to MEP Coordination support services.
* Provide support to senior management to develop long-term MEP coordination and related system service support goals.
* Support the development and implementation of MEP coordination service standards and templates for the areas of:
+ Sales strategy development, Marketing RFP responses and presentations
+ Create KA MEP standards for use in KA Special Requirements.
+ Assist in setting standards for KA MEP clash detection process and procedures, including best practices for performing system clash detection, running meetings, reporting, and resolving conflicts.
+ Provide MEP estimating templates for use by pre-construction teams
+ Provide MEP system review templates for pre-installation conferences and field quality control monitoring.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
* A degree in Mechanical Engineering
* 3-5 years experience in the design of Mechanical systems
* 3-5 years experience working with a Mechanical subcontractor
* Possess a working knowledge of electrical systems
* Possess a working knowledge of standards, guidelines, and building codes
* Thorough knowledge of MEP Computer Aided-design (CAD) standards and working knowledge of 3D visualization
* Experience with building construction sequencing and building systems interface, including structural and exterior assemblies and envelope calculations
* Demonstrated computer proficiency (MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook)
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
* Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency and meet challenging work goals
* Ability to maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
* Ability to possess and maintain exceptional work ethic as well as uphold company values and demand the highest standard of conduct from self and others
* Licensed Professional Engineer
* Experience with Revit MEP suite and Access computer programs
* Experience in Healthcare, K-12 Education, Higher Education, Multi-Family Housing, Technology, and Government/Public markets
* Valid Driver's License, ability to maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record, and must adhere to the KA Motor Vehicle Policy.
