ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION:
  • For Employees who reside in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and California, additional compensation is offered through a Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA).
POSITION SUMMARY:

The individual in this position will be responsible for pulling parts for sales orders, informing management of shortages, and contacting Product Management to inform them of Bill of Material errors. Must be able to independently lift & carry parts up to 60 pounds.

This position is responsible for pulling parts for sales orders in compliance with established quality standards and company procedures.

JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Some minor assembly work performed when needed to assist in shipping customer orders. (daily)
  • Provide support to the Material Control Dept. as needed. (daily)
  • Promptly report all parts outages to management for action. (weekly)
  • Work closely with SIT Administrator to ensure accurate and prompt response to requested changes to orders. (daily)
  • Provide support to the Quality Assurance Dept. in processing orders for UC, RC and Demo equipment. (weekly)


SCOPE:

This position's focus is to relieve the technicians from pulling their own parts for sales orders, allowing them to concentrate on testing and configuring units or systems.

PROBLEM SOLVING REQUIREMENTS:

Be able to recognize problems with Sales Orders and inventory, and work within the organization to correct them. Must be results oriented.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Incumbent must have at least high school education and a minimum of 1 - 2 years related warehouse experience in shipping and/or receiving or the equivalent experience. A verifiable consistent work history is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The position requires frequent lifting (or by other means for movement) of instrumentation/parts. Physical demands may include frequent bending; stooping, squatting, standing, walking, sitting for long periods of time and pulling/pushing of parts can also be expected. Incumbent must be able to lift up to 60 pounds routinely throughout the day. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.

SAFETY/PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:

Position is required to maintain proper housekeeping and safety standards in particular to laboratory safety protocol.Proper use of personal protective equipment and safety devices as required by the Corporate Safety Document policies and procedures and/or customer dictated policy.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position is an office based that required regular and predictable attendance. The position requires the incumbent to have the ability to work alone on projects, as well as, collaborating as part of team in order to support the needs of Shimadzu customers. Extra hours may periodically be required, in order to fulfill the functions required by this position.The position requires proper handling of public inquires in a prompt and friendly manner
