Contract Opportunity: Wet Lab Scientist for Protein Expression and Characterization
Introduction
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading company seeking a highly motivated Wet Lab Scientist to provide essential support for in-silico/machine-learning guided design projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to independently plan and execute high-throughput protein expression and characterization experiments in a dynamic, matrixed environment.
What You'll Do
Experimentation: Plan and execute high-throughput protein expression and characterization experiments, utilizing cell culture, robotics, and general lab equipment.
Troubleshooting: Independently troubleshoot experimental procedures and provide solutions.
Multi-Project Support: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and transparent communication of challenges.
Maintenance and Ordering: Maintain lab equipment and manage ordering of lab consumables.
Requirements
Skills: Hands-on experience with protein expression and purification; practical experience with protein characterization using biophysical assays; proficiency in general molecular biology techniques such as PCR, vector cloning (infusion, Gibson, and Golden Gate); and data analysis software (GraphPad, Excel, etc.).
Education: Bachelor s Degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, or a Master s Degree in a related scientific discipline, or equivalent experience.
