Kuusakoski is actively hiring for a full time Manual Material Handler to support our recycling facility in Plainfield, IL. This is a first shift position, working from 5 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with mandatory overtime (usually 10-12 hours during busy weeks). We are busy and expanding!

What you will do:
The Manual Material Handler is responsible for moving, sorting, dismantling, weighing, and documenting material. This is a cross functional role and you will be trained in other areas of the recycling process.
- Inspect an array of parts, determine its category, and place part into correct container: properly dismantle, identify material, remove non-recycle items /parts and report quality issues.
- Operate pallet jack.
- Properly use hand and power tools.
- Stack and store the materials in the appropriate areas.
- Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following policies and procedures.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate plant operations.
- Keep appropriate records and reports, ensure daily totals are completed and accurate.
- Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
- Other duties as assigned, including general housekeeping.
What you need to succeed: - Must be able to lift/move up to 35 pounds, climb stairs, and work in sometimes tight spaces around machinery.
- Forklift experience.
- Safety minded.
- Ability to build rapport with coworkers.
- Must have proven track record of reliability.
