DuPont has an opportunity for an experienced Production Operator at our Hayward, California location.

As a Production Operator you'll perform and operate first-level maintenance on manufacturing equipment at the Hayward plant, including blend tanks, pumps, scales, loading and transfer skids, purification rigs, hoppers, and sampling equipment. You'll be responsible for safe execution of tasks and compliance with standardized procedures; reading, recording, and responding to process data to ensure safety and quality of operation. You'll also samples raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products and submit samples for analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES DESCRIPTION

Your key responsibilities will be/what you'll do:

  • Works efficiently at assigned tasks - manages time and responsibilities in a way to maximize the safe and quality production of materials
  • Contributes meaningfully to the completion of the schedule
  • Executes on 5S program in areas of responsibility
  • Interfaces with site Maintenance, Manufacturing Technical Engineers etc. Test Authorizations, Maintenance Activity, etc.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience working in a production or manufacturing environment
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office) required, SAP/OPD is a plus.


In addition, successful candidate must meet the following physical qualifications, with or without accommodation:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and
  • Perform the following for extended periods of time:
    • Standing or sitting
    • Climbing/squatting/walking
    • Repetitive motions and lifting
