Summary
We are seeking a skilled individual to assist in coordinating and overseeing maintenance activities aimed at maximizing productivity and efficiency while minimizing downtime. The role involves conducting routine maintenance on production equipment, as well as maintaining, constructing, and repairing equipment, buildings, and grounds. Additionally, the position may require assisting production in various capacities such as Set-Up Mechanic, electrician, or machine operator/grinder.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Maintain all production equipment in optimal condition, including regular checks and lubrication as needed.
  • Ensure safety circuits are functional to provide a secure working environment.
  • Overhaul and rebuild equipment when necessary.
  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain equipment, including electrical wiring.
  • Rebuild machine repair parts to restore them to working condition.
  • Possess knowledge in Power Panel Fabrication and hydraulics.
  • Ability to interpret schematics for hydraulic components.
  • Efficiently diagnose and repair equipment issues.
  • Inspect electrical systems for hazards, defects, and compliance with codes.
  • Advise management on potential hazards and necessary adjustments.
  • Assist production in various roles as needed.
  • Follow blueprints/schematics to ensure compliance with building and safety codes.
  • Install ground leads and connect power cables.
  • Maintain records, order supplies, and prepare reports as necessary.
  • Understand PLC function/logic.
  • Ensure chillers and processed water receiver are operational daily.
  • Optimize material and equipment usage.
  • Train personnel as required.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Keep accurate records and communicate necessary changes to the supervisor.

Position Specifications and Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical school degree and/or 2-3 years of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician.
  • Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and mathematical skills.
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication in English.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in using electronic devices.
  • Ability to use hand tools and perform simple repairs.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting experience.
  • Ability to understand and adapt to new information.
  • Team player with a commitment to collaborative problem-solving.
