Position Overview:

The Corporate Compliance Specialist works to ensure that SIA complies with relevant laws, regulations, company policies, ISO standards and relevant guidelines. They develop, review, and maintain SIA s compliance system. The Corporate Compliance Specialist advises on improvements to company policy and practices related to compliance requirements. The Specialist is required to prepare and revise compliance system documents, prepare monitoring schedules, conduct monitoring activities, prepare reports for management regarding findings, write nonconformity reports, and track completion of countermeasures. They will promote compliance awareness for employees, including on-site contract company personnel through training and other supporting activities.


Outline of Duties:

  • Draft documentation needed to support implementation of the centralized compliance program.
  • Identify existing internal control systems designed for adherence to laws and regulations, as well as internal company policies and procedures.
  • Support the Compliance Section Manager to develop company risk mitigation and control strategies in areas including data security, human resources, finance, and procurement.
  • Review and evaluate company procedures and reports to identify risks and common issues across multiple departments.
  • Perform compliance spot checks as directed related to adherence with company policies and procedures.
  • Interact with external auditors on the company s ISO systems, as directed.
  • Support and monitor company record retention policy.
  • Develop training sessions on compliance issues with both internal and external (vendor) parties.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities to strengthen and mature existing processes.
  • Keep informed regarding pending industry changes, trends, and best practices and assess the potential impact of changes on organizational processes.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Communications, Business Management, or related field
  • Comprehensive understanding of corporate compliance programs
  • Experience in creating and revising policies and procedures
  • Critical thinking and problem solving, including knowledge of problem-solving techniques (e.g., PDCA, fishbone, SWOT, etc.) and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to conduct monitoring activities objectively and create required reports for management
  • Excellent communication skills in writing, speaking, and presenting.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Communications, Law, Business Management, or related field
  • Experience with SharePoint administration and PowerBi data visualization
  • Knowledge or experience with ISO systems.
