Key Responsibilities for Plant Manager:


Plant Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Ensure staff are trained and adhere to quality and operational standards.
  • Manage the plant in challenging labor conditions, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.


Operations Strategy:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Secure raw materials at optimal prices through strategic sourcing and negotiation.
  • Analyze and understand market demands to adjust production and inventory levels accordingly.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
  • Create an operations system that can adapt and make changes based on market demands.
  • Implement a raw materials sortation system to optimize material usage and efficiency.


Quality Control:

  • Maintain high standards of product quality through rigorous quality control measures.
  • Address and resolve any quality issues promptly.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.


Financial Management:

  • Manage plant budgets and control costs.
  • Analyze financial reports and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Ensure efficient use of resources and materials.
  • Hands-on Problem Solving:
  • Be willing to work hands-on on the plant floor to resolve operational issues.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a plastics manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a managerial role. Experience in food packaging, water bottles, automotive parts, or similar products produced using recycled resins is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of operational strategy and quality control is highly desirable.
  • Experience in securing raw materials at optimal prices and understanding market demands.
  • Proven experience managing a plant in challenging labor conditions.
  • Willingness to be on the plant floor and work hands-on to resolve problems.
  • Prior experience setting up a raw materials sortation system is very helpful.
