Our manufacturing client seeks a Senior Accountant to join it's team in the Danbury area. This role will report directly to the VP of Finance and be responsible for the day-to-day accounting functions. There is a plan in place for growth and promotion into the Controller position!
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and oversee the general ledger and accounting records.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
- Manage fixed assets accounting and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Support budgeting, and forecasting, and assist with external audits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 4-6 years accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- ERP knowledge, advanced excell skills.
- Manufacturing experience is preferred.
