Job Summary:
The Production Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of our chemical formulation production lines, ensuring that production goals are met efficiently and safely. This role requires a strong leader with a solid background in chemical manufacturing, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Leadership:
- Lead and supervise production staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Production Management:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute daily production schedules to meet output targets.
- Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency and adherence to quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure that all products meet quality specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures and standards.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address and resolve quality issues.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for production staff.
- Ensure all equipment and processes comply with environmental and safety standards.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
- Work closely with the engineering and maintenance teams to optimize equipment performance and reliability.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
- Prepare and present regular production reports to management.
- Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Resource Management:
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished products to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of chemical formulation processes and production equipment.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced production environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
Working Conditions:
- This position may require standing for long periods and lifting heavy materials.
- Must be able to work in a chemical manufacturing environment, which may involve exposure to hazardous materials and conditions.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
