Plant Manager


Job Details

MAU is hiring a Plant Manager for our client in Quincy, IL. As a Plant Manager, you will lead day-to-day operations by overseeing production and engaging with the floor-level team to produce results. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of relative management experience
  • P&L experience

General Requirements:

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills
  • Proficient with MS Office Software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent problem-solving skills

Preferred Requirements:

  • Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering degree
  • Lean Six-Sigma Belt
  • Proven CAPEX project management
  • Union experience

Essential Functions:

  • Inspire and maintain a safety-first culture for all plant personnel
  • Drive a site felt safe, quality always, and a high-performance team
  • Lead, engage, and manage team using a servant leader mindset
  • Lead workforce planning and capital project execution
  • Actively manage the P&L, budget forecast, and financial stability of the site
  • Strategically plan and problem-solve leveraging Operator experience
  • Communicate internal and external metrics and seek out resources as needed
  • Develop and maintain KPIs to monitor plant performance
  • Develop and execute lean and flexible production systems based on lean manufacturing principles
  • Manage labor agreements, negotiations, and reconciliations
  • Perform other tasks as required
