O'Neal Steel currently has an opening for a (3rd Shift) Machine Operator at our Birmingham facility. The Machine operator sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Uses computer-controlled equipment to select, position and secure automatic or semi-automatic machines. Controls and adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion. Job Requirements Ability to operate a variety of processing equipment including, but not limited to, saw, shear, press brake, roller, plasma, laser, etc. Ability to operate a wide variety of material handling equipment including, but not limited to, forklift, overhead crane, stacker crane, side loader, yard dog, etc. Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints. Ability to use measuring tools such as: tape measure, box caliper, slide dial caliper, and micrometer.
