**Overview:**

Be part of the fun and work for a place like no other with this unique part time position! Dorney Park is looking for applicants for the Group Event Coordinator position. Ideal applicants should have professional communication skills and like to work in a fun and fast-paced environment. This position will work directly with the Group Sales Department on the booking and execution of the Corporate, Youth and Small Group catered and non-catered events. This includes working as a liaison with both internal and external partners on the booking and execution of group sales business. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: fielding incoming calls, inputting reservations into our ticketing & catering systems, coordinating with the catering department, attending client events in the park, completing paperwork/data entry associated with events, collecting and processing payments and qualifying leads that have been submitted to Group Sales. This position reports to the Sales Support Supervisor.

**How You'll Make A Difference:**

* Plan and directly oversee execution of group events, primarily catered events

* Serve as liaison between Group Sales and other departments. Directly affect event success through consistent and timely internal/external communication

* Work with booked clients to provide first-rate service such as park tours, collateral support, ticket reorders, and special requests

* Manage client inquiries and concerns both by telephone and email

* Assist with completing paperwork and tasks pertaining to the preparation of events, confirming all information is accurate

* Support Account Executives with administrative duties such as internal paperwork, creation of event posters, and other requests

* Attend interdepartmental meetings to communicate needs of upcoming events and results of past events

* Process contracts, forms, and payments

* Other duties as assigned

* Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed to fulfill position responsibilities

* Take initiative and maintain the companys reputation and dedication to safety, service, courtesy, cleanliness, and integrity

* Clerical/administrative experience with an emphasis on customer service

* Advanced verbal and written professional communication skills with acute attention to spelling, punctuation, and grammar

* Comprehensive understanding of/experience with event planning and coordination preferred

* Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite) with ability to learn new software

* Strong sense of professional integrity. Comfortable with speaking in front of groups and with tours

* Work collaboratively in a team setting and work independently

* Utilize problem solving skills, including having the ability to remain patient, poised, and alert to cope with challenging/unique situations

* Possess a positive attitude and approach

* Utilize strong listening and interpersonal skills

* Demonstrate strong time management, planning, and organizational skills

* Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law

* Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law
