We are looking for servers with a minimum of 1 year of fine dining experience, with basic wine and spirits knowledge 1789 is located is Georgetown and has been one of the top fine dinind restaurant for over 40 years. Parking available after 430 pm.

**WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AS A FRONT WAITER / SERVER**
* Responsible for coordinating and upholding standards of entire section and communicating with dining room and kitchen team
* Full knowledge of all menus, food, drink, and wine
* Greets new parties and cordially welcomes guest to the restaurant
* Informs the guest of delicious menu choices and makes suggestions
* Observes guests to ensure that guests are satisfied and able to assist with what the guests may need
* Able to use POS system, ringing in orders, processing payment, etc.
* Processes guest orders correctly to ensure that items are properly prepared and on a timely basis.
* Marking tables for all courses and opening wine.
* Clearing and pre-bussing between courses is required as well as water service and resetting tables.
* Anticipates the guest needs and responds appropriately
* Establishes a friendly professional rapport with the guest
* Busses table when meal is completed and prepares the table for the next course
* Problem solves guest needs with courtesy, dignity and respect
* Extends closing greetings to guest as they leave thanking them for their patronage
* Maintains a clean working environment.
