Required Qualifications:
1. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
2. Three (3) to five (5) years of Accounting/Financial experience.
3. Bachelor's Degree.
4. Excellent PC and spreadsheet skills.
5. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
6. Good decision-making abilities.
7. Excellent communication skills.
8. Strong organizational skills. Detail oriented, innovative, flexible, and thorough task oriented.
9. Must be flexible, able to handle multiple tasks, and establish priorities effectively.
10. Must be able to obtain a gaming license during the pre-employment process.
11. Flexible working hours and schedule required.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Gaming experience preferred.
2. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred.

Physical Requirements:
1. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds with or without assistance.
2. Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, bend, stand, lift, push, carry, and pull.

Job Description

Position Summary:
The Financial Controller is responsible for financial reporting and maintaining the General Ledger and Fixed Asset systems. This position is responsible for the Accounting and Finance Departments. The Financial Controller must perform responsibilities in accordance with State Regulations, Graton Resort Casino's Internal Control System, and all departmental procedures.

Essential Functions:
1. Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort Casino while living, supporting, and promoting our values.
2. Manage and maintain the General Ledger, financial reports, and key components of the accounting system.
3. Support the month-end and year-end close process and perform account analysis.
4. Provide information and reports to management in a timely and accurate manner.
5. Contribute to the development of, and ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, gaming
regulations, and minimum internal control standards (MICS).
6. Responsible for the timely production of management reports, financial statements and other financial information.
7. Review financial and statistical reports and balance sheets reconciliation, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
8. Safeguard company assets.
9. Review all monthly journal entries.
10. Oversee all accounting operations, including but not limited to AR, AP, Inventory Control and Staff Accountants.
11. Hiring, managing, and developing the Financial Accounting Team.
12. Provide information and reports to the Director of Finance and Accounting in an accurate and timely fashion.
13. Coordinating and directing the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
