Scope:

The CEO will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of sustainable transportation infrastructure. We are seeking a visionary leader who can drive strategic initiatives, foster innovation, and build a dynamic team to propel our company to new heights. This role encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities, blending business acumen, retail development, and leadership prowess.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and articulate a clear vision for the company's growth in the renewable truck stop sector.
  • Spearhead business development efforts to expand the company's footprint and market share.
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure sustainable and profitable growth.
  • Oversee new site development including the construction, permitting, real estate, and other functions.
  • Drive initiatives for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
  • Implement and optimize operational processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and ensure the company's operations adhere to environmental standards and guidelines.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top-tier talent for key positions within the organization.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with trucking companies, fleet operators, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Uphold and enhance the company's brand image in alignment with its commitment to sustainability.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate business risks to ensure the long-term viability of the company.
  • Provide regular and transparent communication to the board of directors, investors, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in business, finance, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience as a CEO or in a senior executive leadership role (COO, CFO, Division President) within the Truck Stop, Trucking, or related industries.
  • Strong background in Truck Stops, Trucking, or related industries.
  • High degree of flexibility and the ability to maneuver the organization in its mezzanine development period.
  • Experience in a hands-on executive leadership role.
  • Experience setting up policies, procedures, and systems; adding sophistication/maturity to a developing organization.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools: Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
