Responsibilities:
Network assesment and planning:
- Evaluate existing network architectures of both companies
- Idetify areas for consolidation, optimization, and streamlining
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope and objectives
Network Integration:
- Design and implement strategies to merge network components, including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Ensure seamless connectivity between previously separate networks
- Address any compatibility issues arising from different network configurations
Security and Access Control:
- Establish secure communication between merged networks
- Implement access controls, firewall rules, and VPN configurations
- Monitor network traffic for anomolies during the transition.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed documentation of network changes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps
- Provide regular progress reports to project stakeholders
Qualificaitions:
Experience:
- Minumum of 5 years in a Cisco Meraki environment
- Minimum of 5 years in an AWS environment
- Proven track record of successully joining networks from separate companies or domains
- Familiarity with AWS Transit Gateways
Technical skills:
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Proficiency in configuring and managing network hardware
- Strong problem-solving abilities
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA or CCNP
