A mid-size Law Firm is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join their team in either their Menlo Park, CA or San Jose, CA offices. This position has remote flexibility, requiring 2-3 days onsite troubleshooting desktops. On a day-to-day, this candidate will be acting as the direct line of defense and implementing a knowledge of IT workflow to provide exceptional customer service to attorneys and business professionals. A qualified candidate will have experience providing technical assistance and support for incoming Helpdesk tickets related to computer systems, software, and hardware; responding to queries either in person or over the phone; managing and testing new software and patches; installing or modifying computer software and hardware, troubleshooting technology-related issues and documenting any relevant steps/activities; creating and maintaining ongoing documentation of hardware device inventory; installing computer peripherals, maintaining IT standard operating procedures for end-users; leading or co-leading training sessions; performing asset management activities; and assisting with IT related tasks for office moves, build-outs and relocations.

Technical BA degree

Certifications (MCITP, ASCP, A+)

Prior law firm office experience and experience with law firm programs (Carpe Diem, Net Documents, etc.)

At least 2 years of experience in IT admin and knowledge of IT workflow

Ability to troubleshoot Windows desktop

Skilled in Operating systems (Primarily Windows diagnostics, repair, patching, best practice application) and Mobile Operating systems (IOS and Android)

Experience utilizing Active Directory for editing user accounts, resetting passwords, etc.

Basic scripting knowledge

BA degree

Ability to work onsite to Menlo Park or San Jose office several days a week
