This individual will lead and shape the department to meet the demands of an ever-growing sector of operations at Chase Center. Beyond basketball, concerts, and other public ticketed events, Chase Center is a world-class events venue and hosts many private events on any given day of the year. The GM of Private Events will be Bon Appetit's direct liaison with all event clientele, oversee and execute contracts and negotiations with clients, and be responsible for the successful delivery of Food & Beverage services on all private event functions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Monitor email leads for BEOs and confirm that managers are following up and responding in a timely fashion.
* Work with BEO manager to accommodate the needs of the teams and the guest.
* Review BEOs with management weekly to confirm details.
* Lead internal BEO team meeting and work through details with the management teams.
* Communicate and coordinate all bar needs after BEO review.
* Confirm bar staff, bar builds and support any bar infrastructure needs.
* Attend GSW weekly events huddles to review F&B needs.
* Oversee BEO assignments to supervisors.
* Confirm and coordinate infrastructure and electrical needs for all events.
* Shepard the scheduling process from availability to formation, to keep labor within projected margin, ensure union obligations and satisfactory execution.
* Review assignments, checking for correct alignment with supervisors and managers.
* Monitor assignments through the course of the shift.
* Line up - Pre-shift notes delivered to the team by GM. These pre-shift notes address larger concerns, like attendance, uniforms, compliance and safety issues. Everyone in attendance is required to sign this document. Not every shift if started with pre-shift notes.
* Assignments - Reviewed by group sales managers. Many details are conveyed in this the assignment review. GM reviews and sometimes delivers assignments.
* Setups - Setup days precede event days. Closing managers are required to "walk-through" the setups to ensure sufficient setup. Ideally, GM and/or Director do walk-throughs throughout the course of the day to guide and assist setups.
* Breaks - Managers will confirm break times at assignment round ups. All hourly staff are required to use the time sheet to sign in and out for breaks. GM confirms break schedule.
* Sign in/Sign out - Closing manager collects timesheets at EOD, to correct time clock violations and then deliver them to Payroll Manager. Opening manager delivers time sheets at line-up.
* Break down - Closing managers and servers walk through all events and confirm thorough break down. GM to assist in coordination for large breakdowns.
* Ensure that Group Sales events are setup, broken down and run smoothly in accordance with GSW expectations and BA excellence.
