Ruby Veterinary Urgent Care is a modern platform created to fill the void between primary and specialty/ER care. Working closely with the local primary care veterinarian and ERs, we offer same day appointments to evaluate and initiate a treatment plan that will get pets back home or, if needed, transferred for more intensive care. We strive to create a transparent and technology-enabled veterinary care experience that exceeds the expectations of our clients and employees. Each of our paperless hospitals has a well-designed integrated workflow driven by a cloud-based EMR, in-house digital radiology and ultrasound, Idexx in-house labs as well as a high support staff to DVM ratio. We are looking for a talented, friendly, and driven Urgent Care Veterinarian to join our team and help launch our first hospital coming to Alpharetta, GA in the fall of 2024! Qualifications DVM degree from an accredited veterinary school or equivalent degree Active Veterinary License in the State of Georgia Active DEA license or eligibility Urgent care or emergency experience preferred Strong clinical skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to work in a fast-paced environment providing high quality of medicine, all while having fun Key Responsibilities Provide best in class medical care to animals in an urgent care setting including recommending and performing key diagnostics and treatments Maintain comprehensive medical records to aid in an easy and thorough transition back to the primary DVM or transfer to specialty/emergency care Act as a leader and mentor Positive attitude and be a team player Able to effectively communicate with clients, other DVMs, technicians and support staff Ability to multi-task and adapt to fast-paced environment Able to commit to evening and weekend shifts Compensation & Benefits Industry-leading compensation at $130,000-$150,000 base salary plus production (no negative accrual), based on experience No non-competes Health, dental, and vision coverage Company-sponsored 401(k) plan 12 days PTO 5 mental wellness and sick days 24/7 virtual access to mental health professionals Employee discount program (e.g., groceries, gym, gift cards) $2,500 CE allowance with 3 paid CE days 100% fees paid for licenses and professional memberships Paid parental leave 8 weeks of paid leave at 100% of regular salary Generous employee pet discount Participation in our Ruby Veterinary Equity & Profit-Sharing Program Ruby Veterinary Urgent Care is an equal opportunity employer and embraces diversity.
