TheCity of WestbyandWestby Electric& Water Utilityis seeking a qualified applicant for the position ofUtility Clerk.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Perform daily and/or weekly maintenance in the billing database to maintain accurate information.
  • Create billing on a monthly basis.
  • Apply payments to utility accounts as necessary.
  • Generate and perform delinquent tenant/property function according to collection policy.
  • Prepare correspondence with state agencies such as the Public Service Commission and Department of Revenue.
  • Provide customer service by answering questions relating to utility billing.
  • Generate and process payroll to include quarterly and annual reporting.
  • Assist and prepare documentation for annual financial audit and PSC audit.
  • Process accounts payables for utility funds.
  • Monthly balance of utility bank accounts.
  • Any other duties requested as to operation of City Hall.

Must possess knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel programs and have adequate typing skills. Experience in utility billing a plus. Must be able to prioritize duties and be highly organized. Starting wage will be based on experience. This is a full-time position. Benefits include Wisconsin state retirement, health and life insurance, vacation, personal and sick time, and paid holidays.
