Responsibilities:
REI Systems is seeking a Python Developer/Software Engineer with a strong background in web application development, cloud infrastructure deployments, and software development in an Agile/Scrum framework.
Major job responsibilities include:
- Web development Write well-designed Python code following best practices.
- DevOps collaboration Collaborate with DevOps teams to establish a CI/CD pipeline and automate processes.
- Code quality and review Assist with developing test procedures for software components.
- Technical documentation Write or review software and system documentation.
- Security and compliance Mitigate security findings within the code.
- Innovation and learning Continuously acquire knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools and programming techniques.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- 10+ years of IT experience
- 5+ years of experience in Python web development (Python web framework along with Python test frameworks)
- Knowledge of DevOps and Git/GitHub actions
- Experience with cloud deployments and hosting
- Willing to learn new technologies and contribute as needed
- Self-driven with proven experience in delivering results
Desired Skills
- Masters degree a plus
- Certification a plus
- Experience with any 3 of the following: PostgreSQL/MySQL, Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, Terraform, Apache Airflow, Angular/React
Education: B.S. in Computer Science or a related field
Location: 100% remote with 10% travel may be required Local to DMV preferred
Clearance: able to obtain Public Trust
