**Overview:** Management Science Associates, Inc. (MSA) is a diversified information management company that for over half a century has given market leaders the competitive edge through workflow application delivery, and data management, analytics and technology services. We currently have an exciting and challenging opportunity for a business development/sales professional with a background in building business within the clinical workflow software space.

MSAs Life Sciences Division provides clinical workflow software and data management services to hospitals dealing with complex health care data.

This position requires prior experience and a proven track record of selling clinical workflow products and services. The successful candidate will have excellent management, people, and communication skills (written and spoken), and the motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.

**Responsibilities:**

* Propose new business opportunities and lead business development efforts for specific products and services

* Close new business deals. Achieve set sales targets by developing and implementing specific sales strategies

* Identify new leads and grow brand recognition utilizing traditional and innovative sales methodologies, including but not limited to call and email campaigns, trade shows, and industry events

* Identify and move potential prospects through the sales process from needs assessment to contract signing in a timely manner that aligns with the sales forecast

* Adopt and improve a sales measurement process that accurately assesses the prospects alignment of need, probability of purchase, and confidence level of purchase within projected timeframe

* Sell through conducting customized scripted product demonstrations that highlight key features/benefits

* Maintain demonstration scripts and associated data to highlight alignment with changing industry needs

* Develop metrics for measuring effectiveness of sales efforts and prepare routine reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information

* Maintain professional and technical knowledge by self-initiated education including but not limited to, reviewing industry publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in industry events and organizations

* Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors

* Contribute to team effort by maintaining positive working relationships with all groups within the division, including Marketing, Product, Account, Development, and Quality Assurance

Required Skills

* Four-year degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Health Care, Health Informatics, or related discipline; MBA or related MS degree may substitute for two years of experience

* Minimum five years of experience in product/services sales including the development of target markets, effective prospecting, sales presentations, and closing sales

* Proficient in strategic planning and tactical execution of sales plans

* Experience in the Healthcare/Transplant/Cell Therapy industry, including general knowledge of EMR/EHR systems

* Understanding of the Laboratory / Hospital sales cycle

* Demonstrated communication skills; ability to understand and speak to technical/non-technical and analytical issues

* Exceptional quality of work and attention to detail with a high degree of organizational ability.

* Ability to prepare and deliver high-quality presentations and written documents under tight deadlines

* Able to work with technical developers/software engineers and product teams to guide, develop and shape work product to client needs

* Ability to anticipate and assist clients with articulating business needs and translate into sales opportunities

* Ability to work effectively with a team of professionals to achieve a shared goal
