Family Law Associate


Job Details

Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Family Law Associate to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in family law, a strong passion for advocating for clients in matters such as divorce, child custody, and support, and must be a member of the California Bar.


Key Responsibilities


  • Represent clients in family law matters including divorce, child custody, child and spousal support, property division, and domestic violence cases.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Provide strategic legal advice and counsel to clients, ensuring their interests are effectively represented.
  • Prepare for and attend hearings, trials, depositions, and mediation sessions.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to develop case strategies and solutions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of family law developments and legal precedents.
  • Manage a diverse caseload efficiently and effectively, meeting all deadlines and client expectations.


Qualifications


  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the California Bar in good standing.
  • 3-5 years of substantive family law experience.
  • Strong litigation and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely, demonstrating strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Compassionate and client-focused, with a commitment to providing exceptional legal service.
  • Proficiency with legal research tools and case management software.
