Public Safety Dispatcher
Full-Time; FTE 1.0
11:00pm-7:00am
Rock Island, IL
Monitors Switchboard and Dispatcher services and staff members on a day-to-day basis to ensure the provision of excellent customer service. Provides additional switchboard/ Dispatch coverage as needed.

Responsibilities:
- Maintains department schedule.
- Listens effectively to concerns and addresses them appropriately and promptly.
- Works with manager to address disciplinary issues involving switchboard and dispatch staff.
- Schedules and attends meetings with appropriate management to foster unity between departments.
- Monitors and demonstrates appropriate departmental dress code.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements

Education:
High school graduate or GED equivalent.
Experience:
Previous experience in a leadership capacity with excellent consumer relations skills
Minimum one year switchboard experience in a healthcare facility
License(s)/Certification(s):
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Must demonstrate positive and effective verbal and written communication skills.
Must be an active listener and decisive problem solver.
Must demonstrate a hands-on approach to leadership/coaching of staff.
Other:
Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
