Any hazardous chemicals the employee may be exposed to are listed in the hospitals SDS (Safety Data Sheet) data base and may be accessed through the hospitals Intranet site (Employee Tools/SDS Access). A copy of the SDS data base can also be found at the hospital switchboard, saved on a disc. Must be physically able to transport heavy objects more than 50lbs with a minimum of one (1) assist or assistive device; perform difficult manipulative, arm hand steadiness and hand eye coordination skills; walk and stand for a minimum of three hours at a time. Must be physically able to meet all regulatory requirements with/without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to perform word processing/computer work and use of transcription equipment Constant use of hand coordination and finger dexterity. Ability to concentrate on fine detail for extended periods of time and with frequent distractions. Perform repetitive functions constantly. Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to follow through on assignments without supervision frequently. Ability to take initiative and be creative with workflow frequently. Ability to communicate effectively, create form documents and compose correspondence frequently. Ability to monitor flow of traffic (visitors, meetings, phone calls) and assess priorities constantly. Must have the ability to attend to tasks for more than 60 minutes at a time frequently. Must be able to understand theories behind customer service and timely transports constantly. Must be able to detect objects close and far away.
