Role Overview
Kodak is seeking a skilled CNC machinist. Expertise in working primarily on a CNC Mazak Turning Center. We are looking for a skilled person who has a good history of work performance.
Responsibilities:
- Execute programs at the machine control. Edit and update CNC Mazak code files as required to produce a quality part.
- Position and align work piece for machining using hand tools and overhead hoist.
- Read blueprints to determine specifications and requirements necessary to create a quality work piece.
- Verify quality of work piece using measuring instruments, such as calipers, gauges, & micrometers.
- Perform daily maintenance of CNC equipment and maintain a clean working environment.
Required Skills: - A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
- Good understanding of CNC machine controls.
- Know machining concepts relative to speeds/feeds as they apply to different material types.
- Understand the basic features required for setting up a part.
- Ability to use basic math and understand geometric concepts.
- Be able to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
Working Conditions:Job tasks performed in an air-conditioned environment.
Full-time Dayshift or Second Shift opportunities are available.
Overtime and Saturday may be required as workload dictates.
