Job Summary: The Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the purchasing activities of the organization. This role involves developing procurement strategies, sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining cost-effectiveness and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet organizational goals and objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct supplier assessments, and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Manage the procurement process from requisition to payment, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Resolve any issues or disputes with suppliers regarding quality, delivery, or pricing.
  • Analyze procurement data and prepare reports to track key performance metrics and support decision-making.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, regulations, and technologies related to procurement and supply chain management.
  • Lead and develop a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field; Master s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving cost savings and process efficiencies.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Solid understanding of procurement regulations, contract law, and ethical sourcing practices.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Certification such as Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) is a plus.
