**Expected** **Salary** **Range**: $18.00/hour
**Within the manufacturing and extrusion process, this position is responsible for providing materials coverage with a variety of activities related to Recycle and Logistics areas.**
* Unload backhauls with bags of scrap and customers returns.
* Load bundles onto flatbed and bags or boxes of scrap into Dryvan.
* Perform cycle counts of compounds, scrap and micro ingredients.
* Perform compound material transfer duties when necessary.
* Record/print inventory activity information.
* Organize and place scrap in desired location in recycle loading and unloading area.
* Oversee and communicate recycle task from Material Supervisor to Recyclers.
* Grind die-flop and lineals to feed pulverizers.
* Operate color station, as necessary.
* Clean grinder and pulverizer bag houses, operating parts and filters.
* Hook up railcar hoses.
* Weigh and record weight of scrap materials.
* Transport gaylords of powder/regrind material to and from lines or other designated areas.
* Fill gaylords and bins with materials and compounds.
* Identify and eliminate sources of contamination
* Pull scrap carts and scrap racks to be ground.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
* Adhere to established standard operating procedures, and safety guidelines.
**We are Looking for a Candidate that Has:**
* A high school degree, or equivalent.
* 2 years of experience driving electric and/or propane forklifts; previous forklift certification preferred.
* Previous experience within a manufacturing environment with heavy equipment.
* Familiar with and/or capable of learning, and operating electric pallet jack, grinder, pulverizers, and other mechanical tools.
* A positive attitude with a desire to contribute to a team.
* A safety focus with knowledge of OSHA safety standards, and Statistical Process Controls (SPC); willingness to adhere to safety guidelines.
**Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:**
* Good understanding of basic math.
* Good reading ability, including the ability to read and understand packaging layouts.
* Good computer proficiency with the ability to log into a variety of systems and enter data accurately.
* Good problem solving and detail orientation, with the ability to resolve moderate issues, and adapt quickly to changing assignments.
* Ability to perform the physical functions of the job, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
