*Associate Attorney - Purchase, NY*

Multistate insurance defense firm seeks highly motivated defense attorneys with litigation experience to join our busy Purchase, New York office. Candidates must have superior analytical and communication skills. This is a unique opportunity to become part of a growing, dynamic firm with a great working environment and opportunity for advancement. We are looking for the right candidates to join our team. Seeking defense attorneys admitted in New York or certified for admission. Connecticut admission is a plus but not required.

*Seeking attorneys with ANY of* *the following experience:*
* Defense attorneys admitted in New York or certified for admission.
* Admitted attorney with 1-5 years medical malpractice experience.
* Admitted attorneys with 1-5 years litigation experience in any of the following: bodily injury, premises liability, automobile liability, wrongful death, or product defect.
* Admitted attorney with 1-5 years general liability defense experience.
* Admitted attorney with 1-5 years experience representing architects and engineers and handling complex construction claims.
* Admitted attorney with 1-5 years litigation or professional liability experience preferred.
* Connecticut practicing attorney who is also licensed in New York, with 1-5 years experience handling general liability and/or professional liability claims. Experience in representing architects and engineers or in handling complex construction claims a plus.

*Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:*
* Managing own caseload with oversight by partners
* Drafting motions, pleadings, and discovery responses
* Research and writing of memorandums
* Attending hearings and court conferences
* Conducting and defending depositions
* Attending inspections
* Consulting with expert witnesses
* Attending mediations
* Trial preparation and trials

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
