Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic person with experience teaching/training adult learners! This position oversees all aspects of training in the adolescent group homes. The Residential Trainer is available to coordinate and facilitate on site trainings for CPI, First Aid and CPR, as well as other trainings required by the licensor and the state. The Residential Trainer/Restraint Coordinator maintains all training records for group home staff and works closely with the Director of Milieu Management and Program Directors to ensure all training requirements are in compliance.

What You Will be Doing to Support the Adolescent Group Homes at Bay State Community Services...

  • You will become a Certified Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Trainer
  • You will become a CPR/First Aid Trainer
  • Responsible for all group home training, processing and recording training hours
  • Provide support and mentorship to group home staff as needed within the group homes

Schedule: 40 hours per week

Requirements

Requirements

  • ****We will pay for your certification as a Trainer or demonstrated experience in areas of training responsibilities, including CPR and CPI, First Aid, Safety and others as determined by management
  • Demonstrates strong presentation and facilitation skills for in person and virtual trainings
  • Experience teaching adult learners in a classroom, CPR and/or residential setting
  • Experience in working with adults and adolescents in residential settings preferred
  • Able to learn, carry out and be certified in MAP, CPR and first aid
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong work ethic and excellent communication skills required
  • Ability to observe staff and provide immediate and written constructive feedback
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Valid MA driver s license with acceptable driving record and current proof of insurance
  • Acceptable CORI, SORI and DEEC background record check including fingerprinting
