Function Are you a wildlife and nature enthusiast with experience in park, facility, and maintenance operations? Hampton's Parks, Recreation and Leisure Services Department is looking for a self-motivated Park Ranger to patrol the parks and other City property to ensure safety and compliance with laws, regulations, and policies, while also protecting the security and integrity of parkland. Prior law enforcement experience is a plus! The Park Ranger provides outstanding customer service to our visitors and performs a variety of work in all areas of park operations including law enforcement, information, interpretation, public relations, conservation, and maintenance in city parklands. This position works according to set procedures and provides supervision to frontline staff. Requires shift work to include nights, weekends, holidays and on call emergency standby on a rotating basis.
